“Our goal is to educate Californians about the water crisis in the world and build concern about critical challenges now confronting the state’s water supply.”

GLOBAL WATER FACTS

>>   97% of the earth's water is saltwater

>>   2% is frozen water trapped at the North and South poles

>>   1% is freshwater safe for drinking

This  small portion of freshwater is not equally distributed throughout the earth’s continents:

1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water: 1 out of 6 people

2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to adequate sanitation

1.4 million children die every year as a result of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. This amounts to around 4,000 deaths a day or one every 20 seconds

>>  Growing population, expanding urbanization, global warming, extended droughts: our planet is getting thirstier.

>>  On current trends over the next 20 years, humans will use 40% more water than they do now.

Because our company is founded on recognizing the importance of water, we’ve partnered with the non-profit Water Education Foundation, whose mission is to help resolve California’s water crisis by building awareness.

For each car wash service or product we sell, we will contribute a portion of the sale to the organization.

CALIFORNIA WATER FACTS

“California faces its third consecutive year of drought and we must prepare for the worst - a fourth, fifth or even sixth year of drought. This is a crisis, just as severe as an earthquake or raging wildfire, and we must treat it with the same urgency”

Gov. Schwarzenegger, 02/27/2009

California is facing the most significant water crisis in its history: climate change increasingly impacts California's rainfalls and reduces the snow pack that provide fresh water to our homes and businesses

Did you know?

Reducing our water use doesn’t just save water: it saves energy and reduces our carbon footprint. The water industry is one of the biggest uses of energy in the world; they use it to treat and pump water to consumers and businesses. Saving water saves energy and saving energy helps reduce climate change.

CAR WASHING INDUSTRY

More than 800 millions of gallons of water are wasted every day to wash cars in the US (100 million of GA in CA). It represents the equivalent of 10 billion glasses of fresh water wasted every day!

Plus, home car washing generates waste from oil, grease and other polluting metals. Most people who wash their cars at home don't realize where the contaminated water goes. Home car washing releases contaminated water directly into the environment or into storm drains intended for rainwater, causing pollution in rivers, lakes and streams.

Water rationing and restrictions on car washing may soon be in the offing. Some municipalities have banned home car wash with a hose, with citations and possible imprisonment for violators.
